About Dave's Underwater
My Philosophy
Scuba Diving is a transformative activity. It changes the way you see the world and the oceans, it changes the way you look at marine life and conservation. But the most profound changes I've seen in 38 years of diving are the changes in how people think about themselves. Confidence. Independence. Capability.
I believe that scuba diving should be accessible to everyone. I offer affordable prices and flexible scheduling options to make diving easy and convenient. Families are welcomed for congierge instruction.
My Expertise
I was certified in 1986, while in college. I was bitten by the Scuba bug and dove extensively for the next several years. Then I got married and had kids. That curtailed my diving. I am an empty-nester now, so I decided to train to become a PADI instructor and share my passion with others.
I'm excited about sharing my knowledge and helping people become confident and skilled divers - especially if you are nervous about diving.

Each year in August, the coral communities in the Flower Garden Banks release their gametes into the ocean currents in a perfectly coordinated effort to build the next coral reef community. It's a magical event that brings out the most spectacular behaviors from the reef community.
It's a life-list dive and you shouldn't miss out on it. It's four days of diving on the banks, with a rig or two thrown in during the day. It's a special treat.
